I was born in Tridell, UT. I always had a passion for art. At 14, I began doing sports portraits for friends and family, and at 15, I was featured on the local news during the sports highlights in an interview done by Craig Bolerjack, who now is the play-by-play broadcaster for the Utah Jazz. From there I met former Utah Jazz coach and current KFAN radio commentator Tom Nissalke.
